Why Choose Geriatric Medicine at Grant Medical Center
Our fellowship program is designed to bring you up to speed smoothly, while learning from the best minds in the field.
Team-Based Training Environment
A community-focused program with in-depth inpatient, outpatient and facility-based training.
Our inpatient geriatric team is aligned with our trauma team, to provide assessments for a subgroup of roughly 1,500 annual admissions. Each fellow will be an active part of our hospital-based quality improvement and system-wide committee work to enhance their leadership skills and knowledge in geriatric care principles.
Clinical work and research will be enriched by having dedicated time with faculty and other learners. We utilize journal club, collaborative teaching and simulation training to allow fellows to increase their knowledge base. Clinical learning environments are enriched by our integration with a multitude of other resident training programs, rotating medical students, active ethics teams, and excellent collaborative relationships with community agencies such as the Area Agency on Aging and Alzheimer’s Association.
