Diabetes Fellowship - O'Bleness Hospital

We train our fellows to become experts in diabetes management for patients of all ages.

OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, in partnership with the Diabetes Institute at Ohio University, offers a comprehensive, one-year  non-accredited diabetes fellowship program. The focus of this program is centered around the prevention, detection and management of diabetes. We accept one fellow a year into this program.

Why Choose Diabetes at O'Bleness Hospital

Our fellowship program is designed to bring you up to speed smoothly, while learning from the best minds in the field.

Preparing the next generation of diabetes physicians.

We offer advanced training in all areas of diabetes with a focus on the rural environment.

Our program takes an interdisciplinary approach to diabetes clinical care in a dynamic environment and builds on the foundational skills established in the primary care residency.

Our fellows will have robust exposure to a broad range of inpatient and outpatient care consultation services under the supervision of our board-certified physicians. In addition, the fellows will be provided training in an area of the country with a higher than average percentage of patients who have diabetes and be responsible for educating medical students, residents, other team members and patients and their families.
