Why Choose Breast Surgery at Grant Medical Center

Our fellowship program is designed to bring you up to speed smoothly, while learning from the best minds in the field.

Preparation for Independent Practice

We promote hands-on training and exposure to a wide variety of procedures.

Our program is designed to build on the foundational skills established in residency. Clinically, the program is structured to ensure fellows assume progressive responsibility in the breast clinic, seeing on average 50 patients per week.

Fellows spend a six-month rotation in surgical oncology where time is split between the office and operating room. The rotation includes participation in the medical and surgical management of patients with benign and malignant breast diseases, assisting in performing sentinel lymph node, US core needle and breast biopsy, fine needle aspiration biopsies, and follow-up care.
